Accommodation in detail The duplex apartment is in a block of 8. Ours is block C (written above the garage door) and our apartment is the nearest to the upper car park. There is a short flight of outside stairs leading to the front door. The entrance hall with loo and cupboards leads into a combined living room/dining area/kitchen. The dining area has ample room to seat 6 and the lounge is arranged in a U shape with enough comfortable seating for at least 6 people. Within the seating arrangement is a pull out double sofa bed and there is sufficient drawer and storage space in the lounge for anyone sleeping there. There is a double duvet and 2 pillows which are kept in storage bags in the second bedroom upstairs. For entertainment there is a TV/video/DVD, mini hi-fi system and plenty of games. From the lounge there are double glass doors leading onto a south west facing balcony. The kitchen, which was renewed early 2008, contains electric hob, oven, dish washer, fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, plenty cupboard space, a range of pans, casserole bowls, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, mugs and glasses (sufficient of everything for 6 people). The open plan stairs lead to 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom containing 2 sinks and bath with shower. A hair dryer is provided. The main bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6 ins) with duvet and 2 pillows. There is also a 3 door wardrobe with sufficient shelving and hanging space for 2 people. The second bedroom, which because of the sloping roof has limited headroom, contains a single bed with a pull out second single bed which can also be propped up on integral legs to form a double bed. There is a set of drawers and a mobile hanging rail. There are also 2 single duvets and 2 pillows. Heating is all electric. There are sufficient European adaptors in the apartment so it shouldn't be necessary to take any. The garages are under the apartment block and our garage is number 2. The key for the garage is in the apartment. All you will need to take with you are duvet covers, pillow cases, sheets towels and tea towels plus any music, video tapes/DVDs and games you may want for your entertainment. Slippers would also be worthwhile as the ceramic floor tiles in the lounge can feel a bit cold underfoot although the apartment itself is very cosy. It can however take a short while to warm up in cold weather if the apartment has been standing empty for a week or so with the heating on low. |
